Stitch Fix Review {Fix #6}

Stitch Fix #6 arrived and it looks like it had a rough trip from California!

For this fix I requested: No dry clean items, nursing friendly, an open cardigan with pockets, an anniversary outfit, no accessory unless they had the necklace I pinned. I mentioned we are having mid-80 degree days already.

I had yet another stylist this time and she did not read my preferences or feedback unfortunately.

The items I received were:
  • Market & Spruce Bri Knit Cardigan, size S ($48)
  • Margaret M Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser, size SP ($98)
  • Pixley Bixby Bird Print Tab Sleeve Blouse, size S ($48)
  • Collective Concepts Lisette Dot Print Blouse, size SP ($64)
  • Bay to Baubles Rylan Double Layered Triangle Necklace, ($34)
Market & Spruce Bri Knit Cardigan ($48) - KEEP
Untitled #12894

I was disappointed by the lack of pockets like requested. However, this color was one of my favorites and the fabric was SUPER soft. I also liked the length of this cardigan.
This is so lightweight, mom friendly, and versatile! I decided to keep this one and apply my styling fee towards it.

I know a lot of Stitch Fix fans like Margaret M pants so I was curious when I realized I received some. However, I was disappointed they were petites since length is not really an issue for cropped pants.

I had 2 big issues with these:
#1 they are $98 for a pair of solid black capris! I would never get enough use out of these to justify $98 on them. I am a jeans & shorts fan with the occasional skirt or dress. Black dressy capris won't get much for me.

#2 they "bunched" all over the place! I wasn't sure if they were too tight or too big or both! I'm pretty sure they were too tight but going up a size would have meant more fabric for bunching. They felt like a glove but the fabric was thicker and not very breathable for TX summer heat.
I took several pictures of them with the other blouses I was sent in pictures below.

Untitled #8711

All I can say is this is NOT my style. It was oversized, boxy, and the print was geometric...abstract? I don't know exactly.
It had long & loose tab sleeves with a pearly button. I just felt old.
This top was boxy and not figure friendly. The arms were baggy, the shoulder was falling off exposing my bra strap, and I had tons of extra room down the side.
An old drowning bird. Sent back!

Collective Concepts Lisette Dot Print Blouse ($64)
Untitled #7339

I LOVED the colors and dot pattern on this when I saw it but was immediately frustrated when I saw it was a petite. I stated in a past fix "no petite tops". I even have it in my profile. The petite size made it too short for my liking in the front. I think I would have needed an XS (not petite) but still think it would have been too boxy for my liking.
Again, this is a boxy cut top with no fitting curve line for an hourglass figure.
I did really like the shoulder detail, the split neck and the interesting hidden buttons on it.
This was of course DRY CLEAN, which I have stated over and over and over again NO DRY CLEAN. I am a stay at home mom of 4 little girls and "mess" is part of my everyday life. I don't wear dry clean items!

Bay to Baubles Rylan Double Layered Triangle Necklace, ($34)- RETURNED
I was surprised when I saw I had received an accessory since I stated no accessory unless they found the delicate silver one I had pinned with 3 layered circles.
I am not a big accessory person. To me, less is more. I always wear my wedding rings & my diamond studs. I usually don't wear a necklace because the baby pulls on it. I have been wanting a long tassel necklace though.
I liked that this was silver and delicate. I also liked the layered look because I don't have any. However, the triangles were weird to me and my husband. The triangles come across as more modern/contemporary to me and don't flow with my round diamonds.
Here is the cardigan, necklace & cropped pants all together.

My total cost for this fix:
Cardigan $48 - $20 styling fee applied = $28 + $ 1.82 tax = $29.82
I still have credit from Christmas gift cards so my actual cost was $0!
